I flew to Virginia on Airtran on the 18th and returned Tues the 28th. 10 great days with my family.  I was able to see 3 womens Old Dominion Univ. basketball games.  Spent lots of time with the granddaughters, had 2 Thanksgiving Dinners.
Lots of shopping and just generally had a blast. No one wanted me to leave and I certainly didn’t want to leave.
But I did and now the next time I go back will either be for Dancer’s 11th birthday or to stay. Hopefully to stay.
Richard was on the Today show this morning promoting health in Kids. He was saying as we all know that kids are fat and obese these days. He has a questionnaire on his site http://richardsimmons.com    about midway down. He’d like us to fill it out and he’s planning on taking at least 250,000 questionnaires to President Bush to give them personally to him and get PE back in the schools. Â
Every time the Today show is on in a time zone everyone hits the site, so if it’s down when you go to it, just be patient and go back in about an 1/2 hr.
I have long felt that PE would best be served with calisthenics and walking  for the 1/2 hour rather than wasting time handing out equipment, 20-30 kids just standing around because the game is only supposed to be played with 5-11 on a team.
Maybe we CAN make a diffference.
Well in trying to make a neat but still purplish blog somehow all the categories, and things are at the bottom of the blog instead of on the side like it’s supposed to be.
What should have taken a few minutes is now working into almost an hour and a half. Â
The last time this happened it fixed itself after a week or two so I am going to just leave it alone and hope that it fixes itself this time too.
but this time it’s on all the pages instead of just the first one. So we’ll see.
In the meantime, how’s your weather. IT’s gotten cold here.
Well, over on Tink’s blog Flitting Here and There she mentioned the other day about teh craziness of the Vdot to have only one lane open to get from the Southside to Hampton.
Here in GA they are doing the same thing but one major road they are completely closing a section of.  The news was telling us the ways around it and one of them was I75 that they will also have lanes closed.
Then downtown they are having a major conference but also have roads and lanes closed off and warning people not to come downtown.Â
So who thinks up these these ideas to close major roads at the same time. I’m sure the downtown Atlanta merchants loved hearing us being warned not to come downtown.

What a great 2 weeks I’ve had. Except for the sadness of the funeral services for 4 which were very nice, I’ve had a great 2 weeks. Has helped the pain.
First Tink came to visit and we  had a lot of fun, not spending a lot of money but going here and there. Went to the Stone Mountain GA highland games, but wasn’t impressed. Too many people in too small a space. Never did find the entertainment tent.
Then I went back to Virginia Beach with her and stayed at Gentle Hands house for most of the week. We had a blast. Dancer and GymGirl loved having me home, so actually did everyone. But we had a lot of fun. Didn’t do anything much but just be together.
I really needed the break. And now on to getting this house ready for sale and finding a place I can afford in Va Beach.
