No not the kind you eat. Why if I marked 33 comments as spam and they all had the same IP number aren’t they blocked by the system.
Seems to me all the rules on spams just hurts the little ‘guy’ and makes it easier for the big guys to get there through.
Yahoo is now letting spam into the inbox even tho I have the filters enabled. I can understand some slipping through, however I do not understand those with defininte ‘no-no’ words in the subject heading getting through.
And I understand from the owner of my business networking group that MSN, Yahoo and AOL are blocking real emails.
It’s really a mess these days. I wonder if one day soon the whole internet is going to implode on itself because of all the spam.
I guess if everything stayed the same we’d be a boring world….
At BJ’s Wholesale Club today, I discovered the pharmacy had closed.
They are making 4 lanes on a major highway and the construction has been horrible. But looks like they are finally going to put up lights at my shortcut intersection. The poles are up. That means in addition to coming home on the shortcut, I’ll be able to use the shortcut to go to BJs and Target. I don’t make left turns without a traffic lite on major roads.
More and more spam. Seems like the new rules just benefit the spammers. Just like bank fraud, what ever rules are set just catch the little people not meaing to defraud. The big ones will always find a way from whatever rules are set up.
New light bulbs. Bought the new sprial light bulbs for what is supposed to be 75w. They are real nice right here but I won’t be able to read from the bed in here unless it gets brighter as it warms up.
Why do they say everone wants to do this or that? This morning Meredith on the Today show said EVERYONE was waiting to hear Keith Urban. Not me and when I told Tink that she said not her either.
The AJC (Atlanta Jouornal Constitution) says most of their readers are going online so they are cutting back their print editons and we will no longer have our community section on Thursdays. I only go online to get the links to articles to send to other people.
I cringe when they say EVERYONE does this or wants this or is waiting to know. Usually I’m not part of EVERYONE.
Maybe it comes from how i was brought up. YOu know, if EVERYONE was jumping off the bridge would you? type thing. Just because EVERYONE else was doing it didn’t mean I would get to. In fact, more than likely I didn’t get to do it.
A month or so ago I was cleaning the keyboard and popping off the keys a few at a time. I popped the right Enter key and broke one of the plastic clips so of course the key didn’t go back on exactly right. And hitting enter is now a challenge. I have to hit it in exactly the right spot, which means several times of hitting it to hit that exact spot
My cousin brought me two keyboards he had. A Gateway and a HP with all those cute little buttons at the top. My present keyboard has no buttons above the F keys. Neither one of them would work and it took me a few minutes to get the old one to work again.
I also can’t defrag. I have about 20% free on the harddrive. Despite frequent deleting of items, mostly pictures I remain at 20% free. I can’t seem to find anything else I can safely delete.
even after clean disk, defrag will get to about 28% done and then stay there. aaarrrrghghghg

I finally did it. Made the first steps in selling the condo here in GA so I can move back to Va Beach. I listed the house on the owners.com website and Craigslist.org for Atlanta

We are north of Atlanta (Acworth in Cherokee County) with easy access to I-75 and I-575. The foothills of the mountains. Very beautiful.
This is a relatively new neighborhood about 3 years old and they are still building new homes here. We are about 15-20 min from the mall depending if you go interstate or back roads. Near other major stores like superTarget, Super Walmart, Kohls, BJs wholesale club.
Don’t know exacatly where I’ll live when I get back to Va Beach, but hopefully close to Gentle Hands and family.
Brrrr Brrrr this is my 3rd winter here and I haven’t seen it stay so cold for so long. I think the walls are frozen. This room with the computer is the coldest it’s been since i found the window was out of its frame.
No snow, a little Ice, lots of cold and wind.
Sounds like the same is happening in Virginia Beach also.
I will be glad when it warms up so I can go out and walk again.
