Vacations
It’s been awhile since I”ve written here. I went back to Va Beach to visit with Gentle Hands and Tink and the grandkids.
It’s very hard to cram all activities into 10 days but we did most of it. Somehow Tink missed taking me to her toy store, AC Moore. We only made it to one of GH’s toy stores, Lowes. Her other one is Office Depot but we didnt’ make it there.
I got to see Dancer practice some of her routines in class. And we have to come up with a new name for Gym Rat as she’s now taking horseback riding lessons. She sits the horse like a pro after just 2 lessons.
Didn’t get to see too much of Piper Dude as he is busy with jobs, and classes and girlfriend. HIs first final was today.
We did go to Busch Gardens and I bought the fun pass. This allows me to go anytime I manage to get up there thru Sept. 3 and was the same price as a days pass. We had a lot of fun.
Then somehow GH had a tire split and after we got home it became flat, so Sunday morning we had to mess with that. AAA crossthreaded a lug nut so now she still has to mess with getting that repaired. Fortunately tire guy was able to fix the tire and we didn’t have to get a new one.
The weather was a mess. According to Accuweather the daytime temps were going to range between 50 and 80 for the 10 day period. So I packed shorts, sweats and jeans, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, and 3 types of jackets. Wound up using only the sweats the most of the time I was there, until the last couple of days. Then it was in 80s and I understand tehy are back down to the 50s today. No wonder everyone is sick and allergies are kicking up.
Had a lot of fun, looked at a house and it was very hard to leave. But I”m back home now and trying to figure out how to get the house sold so I can move permanently up there.
